PDC World Championship Darts Day 9

Thoughts from @DaveWholey

Webster to throw 5 or more 180s at 4/5 as well.  Threw 7 in 15 legs last time out & wasn’t switching anywhere near as much as he used to.  Not convinced he’ll win as his form has been poor all year so I’m expecting at least 6 sets so I think 1 180 per set isn’t much to ask.

No heroics today. Straight bet on Painter. Scored heavier than Baxter & played less legs. Happy to take 8/11 knowing he’s got the darts.

Evening session

Lewis was utter gash in his match but still hit 5 180s. Even a slightly improved performance should see him fall to 7 180s.

Osborne’s performance has slipped under the radar. 6 legs won in 15 darts or less & wasn’t really pushed. Whitlock improved over his match but started slowly. Happy to take Osborne to win 2 sets at 11/8.

We’ve seen before that Newton struggles with slow paced and has lost his last 2 matches against Rand. Rand averaged 106 for the last 2 sets v Huybrechts & won 7 legs in 15 darts or less. Newton struggled against Haines & had a couple of set averages in the 80s. Rand has a chance.  Looking through Scott Rand’s numbers. Fairly impressive that he’s only played 8 matches on TV & averaged over 95 in 5 of them.

Recommended bet

1 pt Treble Rand, Osborne +2.5 & Lewis over 5.5 180s 9.0 @sportingbet
