Premier League Darts Week 3 Betting Preview
Hamilton v Anderson – Expecting this to be a tight one given there’s very little in the averages from the first 2 weeks. Anderson’s doubling has been poor & if that happens tomorrow then Hamilton will stay close enough to take advantage. Hamilton has only lost 1 of his last 5 against Anderson and with him throwing first, the pressure will be on Gary. Hamilton at 7/4 & DNB at 11/10 both appeal.
MvG v RvB – MvG lost his last 8 against Barney & Barney has won 15 of his last 16 televised matches against fellow Dutchmen. Going the 180s route with these 2. RvB averaging a 180 every 2.5 legs, MvG averaging one every 2.67 legs. Over 6.5 180s at 11/10.
Whitlock v Taylor – Whitlock lost his last 14 televised matches against Taylor & has the lowest average of all 10 players after 2 weeks. Taylor averaged 107 for the last 6 legs last week & has won 85% of his legs in 15 darts or less – Whitlock only 25% . Taylor -2.5 at 4/5.
Thornton vs Newton – Thornton looks decent value here at over even money given recent form & their h2h record. (10-3 in Thornton’s favour) Newton hoping to avoid being only the 2nd Premier League debutant to lose their opening 3 matches. The other? Wayne Mardle in the 1st year.
Wade vs Lewis – Not expecting a classic here based on recent form. Wade only lost 2 of 8 to Lewis in PL & Lewis never lost in Bournemouth. Maintain despite last week Wade doesn’t hit many 180s & with Lewis changing his darts, under 5.5 180s at Evens gets the nod. Only Newton has hit less treble 20s than these two over the first two weeks so expect a drab affair.
