Premier League Darts Wk 7 Betting Preview

Info from @DaveWholey

Fancy Hamilton at 15/8 vs Whitlock.  Andy throwing very well winning 16 of last 17 legs in 15 darts or less & back to back 100+ averages.  Also fancy over 116.5 checkout at 5/6. Both big finishers & Whitlock covered this line 4 times out of 6 on his own.

Risky given his finishing but Anderson highest checkout at 13/10 worth some attention. MvG with only 1 100+ checkout so far in the league.  Anderson has hit 4 100+ checkouts & given how heavy van Gerwen’s scoring has been, he’s been leaving fewer higher checkouts than Anderson.

Simply don’t get Lewis being the favourite vs Thornton. Lewis has only had 1 match where he’s averaged over 92 & Thornton only 1 under 97.  Lewis losing far too many legs in 16 darts or more & Thornton has been throwing 15 dart legs (over 72% of his total legs won) for fun. Thornton was much bigger but 6/4 is still a large price & I look forward to another interview where I don’t understand a word he says.  Thornton the main play of the night for me. Worth noting that he’s lost only 5 of his 34 matches since the Worlds, Lewis has lost 12 of 27.

Think the last match between Barney & Wade will be a cracker. Barney in great nick & has the 2nd highest average out of the 10 players.  Wade’s averaged 100 in 3 of the last 4 weeks & won his last 21 legs in 15 darts or less so high averages look on the cards.  Wade’s line is set lower at 96.5 which he’s covered in the last 4 weeks and looks the better play of the two (Barney’s is at 98.5) at 5/6.

One last one as it won’t get used tomorrow.  The last time Taylor lost two in a row in the PL was 2008. The next week, he whitewashed Mardle.
